The two Rocky Mountain big riders ditch their freeride bikes and rip Vancouver’s North Shore on short-travel XC rigs
Nobody goes bigger than Thomas Vanderham or Wade Simmons. The “godfather” and the “kid” have been ripping around Vancouver’s North Shore and blowing on minds in mountain bike films for more than a decade. They’ve traveled the globe seeking out big lines, big hits, and big moves. But you’ve never seen them ride like this.
Ditching their freeride bikes and hopping on Rocky’s Element MSL cross-country bikes, the two Vancouver-based riders shred their backyard trails, shedding new light on what can be ridden on a 25-pound XC bike. Lucky for us, filmer Matt Dennison was there to capture the inspiring ride. Even on short-travel bikes, these two can still blow our minds.
